On May 3, the US-Taiwan Business Council partnered with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) to host the Taiwan-U.S. Defense Industry Forum in Taipei. LtGen Rudder delivered the Keynote Address to the forum. During the event, panels discussed granular challenges of bilateral cooperation in the defense industry supply chain. The event also offered discussions on opportunities for cooperation and partnerships between U.S. and Taiwan defense companies, how Taiwan businesses should position themselves to demonstrate that they can be both capable and dependable partners, developments in Taiwan’s defense industry, opportunities for co-production, and how to integrate Taiwan’s industrial capabilities into the global defense supply chain.
